Why Hello!

Holy smokes, I don't think I will ever be a good blogger! I would much rather read everyone else's blogs then work on my own. ha!

Soooo much has been going on. Like the fact that I'm eight months preggos! Yup, Its been that long since I've blogged. ha! I've had a pretty easy pregnancy so far (knock on wood) and I can't wait until our little babe is here. We're having a boy! Beckham Ray Johnson. This kid is going to be a soccer player for sure. I know this because hes practicing in my belly. The kid moves and kicks ALL THE TIME!! Hes a maniac in there! I just know hes gunna be a little wiggle worm.

I'm due on Dec 20th so that stresses Phil out a bit because retail during Christmas is insane but I just know everything will work out. We're hoping he comes a tiny bit early so that its easier on Phil's work but I guess he will just come whenever he wants. Hopefully we won't have to spend Christmas in the hospital but we'll be thrilled whenever he comes.

Molly Landon is taking some preggo pictures for us on Saturday so I'll get some belly shots up soon. I'm really excited for it, she's so talented!

For right now I'm still working at Senor Iguana's and coaching cheerleading at Poky. Once the little guy gets here I'll only be working two days a week, which I am REALLY looking forward to. Not that I don't like my job. I actually love my job. It will just be nice to focus on being a Mommy. :)

Coaching is going great! I have such a talented group and I'm really excited for competition season. We are still in the process of putting everything together for our routines but everything is going awesome! Basketball season starts this weekend so I'll be busy busy busy but it will make the next six weeks go by faster. :)

I'm anxious for him to be here. Can you tell?

Oh yeah we got a kitty! Her name is Little One. :) Yup, thats her name. ha! I just kept calling her that and it stuck. How did Phil and I ever become cat people may you ask? Well, for some odd reason our backyard is our neighborhood's cat haven. No clue why. Kinda makes me angry. Anyway, one night I woke up to what I thought was kittens meowing but I convinced myself that it wasn't and went back to sleep. The next day when I got home from work I heard it again so I went outside and sure enough there was Little One and her sister. Well that's when my motherly instincts kicked in. Of course I couldn't just leave them outside to starve and freeze to death so I took them inside and made them a little home. I had found some of their siblings dead too which made me even more willing to take them in. Long story short, I took care of them for a while and one our friends ended up taking one of them but I just couldn't part from Little One. I had grown way too attatched. So now we have a cute grey kitty that runs all over our house and loves the crap out of us. I think she understands that we rescued her from the ghetto. ;) Phil will deny it but he loves her just as much as I do. I think it will be cool to have Beckham and Little One grow together. It will be entertaining to see how Little One handles the arrival of Beckham. She's pretty spoiled.

Dang, I'm officially a "cat person." Oh well!

Phil has been working a ton these days. He's in the management training program at The Buckle so that one day he can run his own store. It keeps him quite busy. He's just getting done with school season and is now transitioning into the holiday craziness mode. Add baby on top of that and Phil's pretty over loaded. He's quite the stud. I'm so thankful to have him as my husband, he keeps me grounded for sure. I love the guy. Yay for eternal families!

I think thats going to be all for now. Hopefully it won't be too long before I post again. If all of your blogs weren't so good maybe I would focus on mine. I'm blaming you. ;)

Poor David...

David Beckham. One of the most attractive and most amazing soccer players ever. He tore is achilles tendon a couple of days ago and is out for the World Cup. Now I know this sucks for England but what is bad for England may be good for the USA. We are both in the same pod. I feel terribly that David won't be able to play for the World Cup and most of the MLS season but, I can't help but be a little be more optimistic for the US's chances in this year's Cup. Hopefully it won't be a carrer ender for David. I guess I'm selfish, but I would really like to see him play one of these days so I REALLY hope its not the end of the road for Beckham.

David, Get Well Soon!!

Wow!

Its been a while! Let's catch up shall we?

Where to begin?

I coach cheerleading at Poky and we had our 5th District Cheer Competition in February and the girls did AWESOME!! They got two 2nds and a 1st and qualified for state in all three events! I am so happy for this great group of girls that I get to coach. They went through a lot the couple of weeks before competiton and they pulled it out with flying colors, I was so prroud. We have the State Competition in two weeks and I'm gettin nervous. Not because I think they will fail but because thats just how I am. When they perform, my heart beats a million miles a minute, I count every last count, and I scream and yell like a crazy person. Sounds weird, I know, but once they get on the competition floor there is nothing else I can do, say or teach, its all up to them. They have been doing so well this season and I can't wait for State!

Phil and I finally got new phones! YAY! We got the LG Chocolate Touch and I love it. I'm still getting used to the touch screen keyboard, but the camera is like 50 times better then my old crappy phone, so thats exciting! I still need to get some ringtones cause I don't like the boring ones that come with all phones. Not sure exactly what I want however. I'm really LOVING Michael Buble these days so he's bound to be a nice ringtone for me. And the Black Eyed Peas, they just make me want to dance!

For the past four days I have been sooo sick. I could have sworne I had strep throat but the doctors said no. To tell you the truth the doctors really didn't tell me anything...annoying. My throat was on fire, I thought my ears were going to explode, my head throbbed (but only when I would bend over or walk around) and my body couldn't decide on whether it wanted to be a million degrees or freezing. Oh and because of throat I sounded like a man. Phil, my cute little husband, took real good care of me though. He moved our spare TV and DVD player into our room so that I could just stay in bed and rest. He would always check on me while he was a work and made special grocery store runs for medicine we thought would help my illness and chocolate. I needed me some chocolate badly! He's such a little cutie and I love him to death! Oh, and I'm feeling a TON better today.

I am currently serving as the Laurel Advisor in my Ward's Young Women's and I am LOVING it. The girls are wonderful, they never stop amazing me. They all have such a beautiful spirit that eveytime I see their cute faces I just want to hug 'em! They are so willing to participate in lessons and voluteer to serve. I love it. At first I was really scared to teach, mostly because I didn't feel like I had enough knowledge to teach, but Heavenly Father is great. He always helps me get the point across. Since I've been teaching I have learned a lot too. The other leaders are awesome too. They all have such fun personalities and we all get along so well. I'm just loving this calling!

I'm excited for spring!!! I LOVE when I can just throw my ice scrapper in the trunk. Bring on the sunny skies and beautiful flowers! I know Phil is DYING to ride his bike everywhere. I'm mainly ready to be able to leave the house without having to wear a coat. I love spring and summer clothes and I just want to wear them. Especially flip flops. LOVE them.

Thanks for reading this VERY long post, but like I said before, its been a while. I had to cover all my bases! Love ya! :)

We will miss you Holiday Season...

I hate to see them go, but the holidays are officially over. :( I will dearly miss them!

We had a CRAZY Christmas. It started at my Mom's house on Christmas Eve night, which was pretty fun. Then we went to Phil's parents' house for crab leg dinner. Since the Johnson's do Christmas morning freaking early we had to our own Christmas at 6:30am so we could be at the in-laws by 8am. Phil got me this super cute little lap-top (which I am currently using!) and I LOVE IT! Its so miniature and cute! I got Phil an automatic car starter which has been very nice on these freezing cold wintry days. Anyway, we went to Rod and Suzie's and opened presents. We especially enjoy the complete series of That 70s Show that they got us! After an amazing breakfast with the missionaries, we went home to quickly change and go up to my Dad's house to open gifts there. We ate again, and then all headed to my Grandparent's house. We ate AGAIN and hung out with family for a while. By 10pm we were exhausted, so we went home and totally passed out. It was a great Christmas, a busy one, but a GREAT one!

New Years Eve was pretty eventful as well! We went to dinner with a bunch of friends and then headed up to the SUB for some good clean Mormon fun! We all danced the night away but right before mid-night we bounced and went to Shaun's house. We counted down the New Year and lit off a TON of fireworks. Let me give you a play by play...

1. place WAY too many fireworks in a box
2. drench the box, and fireworks, in gasoline
3. light the box on fire
4. take cover

Well, we were all laughing our butts off because fireworks were going EVERYWHERE! Then, Chuck decided to grab some Roman Candles and that was even funnier.

Needless to say, we had a great holiday season and I can't wait for the next one!

So some of you may know that Phil and I were called to be in out ward's nursery. Well, let me tell you what, that was a kick in the pants! We had eight boys in our class. Most days the liked throwing balls with Phil, other days...they just decided to play demolition derby. Don't get me wrong, I love each one of them, they are probably some of the funniest little kids I have ever met, but boy were they a handfull! The last couple of weeks we have been taking to opening exercises of Primary. The first week they didn't really know what to expect so they sat very still and tried to sing the songs. Phil and I were pretty pumped because we thought we would be chasing them all over the place. One of the boys in our class just sat right next to me and made sure that I knew what everyone was saying. This is how it went... tap tap tap on the shoulder. "Yes Nick?" "Umm, (toddler mumbo jumbo), Jesus (more toddler talk) families forever." He would do this mulitple times while he listened to the talks. It was so cute! I loved knowing that this cute little boy, that I sometimes can't understand, knows who Jesus Christ is. He is learning that his family will be together forever. I just love it. Whenever we hold up a picture of Jesus in class ALL of our boys know exactly who he is. They make me smile.

Well, now that you know about our Nursery, you need to know that we just got released. :( I'll be honest, I was pretty bumbed. I feel like I finally got the hang of handling eight boys, giving a lesson and actually having them understand it. I just have to know that Phil and I did what we were called to do. Phil hasn't received his new calling, but I have. Young Womens, Laurel Advisor. What the heck?! These girls are almost my age! I guess it helps that I coach 15 high school girls. This is what makes me nervous. I just got baptised and I feel like I am still learning. I don't really know what I'm going to be doing but I guess I will see. I know everything will be fine, I just can't help being a little nervous. I'll let you know how this Sunday goes.
